Songdo Flea Market

Incheon National University (President In-Jae Lee) announced that the “Songdo Market Flea Market,” held from May 16 to 18 at Triple Street in Songdo, concluded successfully, showcasing products from eight graduate companies of the Incheon New Business Startup Academy.

A wide variety of handmade products received enthusiastic responses from citizens. Items that attracted particular attention included △homeware made from Ganghwa Island cotton cloth (sochang), △cold-pressed perilla oil, △low-calorie seaweed snacks, and △locally inspired fragrance products — all utilizing regionally specialized resources.

Soon Jaram, CEO of J&J Planet and a 17th-term graduate of the Incheon New Business Startup Academy, remarked, “Thanks to the high foot traffic, I was able to understand consumer needs and preferences. The opportunity to receive direct feedback and respond accordingly was the most valuable part of the event,” positively reflecting on how the market helped shape the business direction.

This flea market provided a meaningful opportunity for small business startups to engage directly with customers, receive immediate product feedback, and explore new sales channels. Incheon National University plans to continue actively contributing to the revitalization of the local economy and fostering entrepreneurial small business owners.
